Whats the worst that I could say?

Damned you MTV and your stupid VMAs.

As you may recall I went through a particularly gruesome break-up about seven months ago. To ease the pain, and also because I think I'm a 14 year old boy, I listened to quite a lot of emo - particularly MCR's Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. For months I was bounding about singing "I'm Not Okay" and "Helena" at the top of my lungs. The latter finally was removed from my head (much to the dismay of anyone around me it was replaced by Heart's "Alone"), which is incredible because the StolenTrans ladies like to bring an end to my rock and roll fridays by playing it. Well thanks to last night and the countless showing of the video clip and their rocking live performance, it has been implanted firmly back into my brain with a force that cannot be reckoned with. harrumph.

So long and goodnight.

Some Housekeeping

life over at the VTB camp seems on its way to taking another massive turn of events, as we try and make sense of our future some things we'd like to discuss.

1. Have y'all seen STARVED yet? quite possibly the best show you're not watching.

2. This wild card race has us sitting home at nights watching baseball on top of baseball. yes, our social life has suffered. no, we're not sure that isn't a bad thing.

3. I won't be around sunday afternoon, but ig you are you MUST check out the Delicious Sandwich Social in Prospect Park.

4. Anyone else going to see Undiscovered tonight? it beats getting our ashlee simpson fix from 7th heaven repeats.

have a good weekend y'all. we're still staying away from rock and roll fridays but will be here tomorrow as usual.

This is the last time that I'll hold your hand...

Dear VTB Readers,

Please excuse my absence, I was kidnapped this weekend and taken to the cape by none other than Soccer Chick who, after yelling at me for deciding to be fiscally responsible for a change and bowing out from my trip cross-country, decided that it was her turn to come east.
After a late night at Hiro wednesday night, I of course overslept and made it to the airport with no time to spare as she was waiting for me bag in hand when I walked into the terminal. All the trepidation (yes, even superheroes have trepidation)I had about her visiting disappeared the second that I saw her. After spending a fabulous day and night in and around the slope, we hopped in the rental car and headed to p-town where her folks have a beach house.
What followed were three fabulous days of life as it could be, but isn't. Could I easily fall in love with this woman (again)? yes. Does it make sense seeing as how she's in SF and Im in the eNwhYCee? no. How'd we leave it? Well, its still very much up in the air. But I will say this, after the drama of the last few weeks, it was unbelievably refreshing to have something so natural, so easy, so, well, perfect.

Now its back to the real world.

A heart of stone, a smoking gun
I can give you life, I can take it away

there's a new blog in town. WITHOUT fancy nicknames and code words. you want to really know what happens when the mild mannered VTB editor in chief becomes a superhero? well there's only one way to get there. email me for the location.

Oh, gee, what is it tonight?
At least just tell me what the hell is wrong,
Do you want to eat, do you want to sleep, do you want to drown?
Just settle down, settle down, settle down...

Dear Rock and Roll Fridays:

We had a lovely summer together, didn't we? It started off as any romance should, simply and easily with 2 for 1s at 151, it then quickly became a full on steamy mess, where clothes were taken off, new heights were climbed, bathrooms became multi-purpose, benches were no longer just for sitting, and dripping with sweat took on a whole new level. We then got intimate, everything became familiar, we were regaled with nicknames and regaled you with them as well... you treated us with respect, no lines to wait on, plenty of hugs and smiles - we talked about getting married, and even tried on many different dresses. I wanted to kiss you on the mouth and tell you I'm your biggest fan.

So I ask you, what the hell happened? Why did you feel the need to turn into Dramarama? Was it because I asked the question, about who took the ram from the ramalamadingdong? I didn't mean to pry, and frankly, I'm sorry that I got the answer to the question. Really, I am. I should have let somethings remain a mystery. And now I feel that we might have to break up. Or at least take a little break, which we were due for anyway. I have a couple of things to figure out, we should see other people, maybe? Don't get me wrong, I want this to work out, really, I do, but this kind of stress was not why we started this thing, you know that.

There will always be a special place in my heart,

The Superhero

Wanna see me disco?

man, this no computer at home thing has reached an all time high of pure ghetto since i'm now updating the blog from a library. sheesh. COLOR WAR planning is in full effect. COME ON DOWN to PROSPECT PARK tomorrow if you want to see some old school apache relay action in effect; should be interesting considering that, well, today is ROCK AND ROLL FRIDAY...

so if you feel like playing with the big kids, come down to Orchard Bar tonight. There may be a last ditch attempt with the Obsession (if the aforementioned Beast doesn't get in the way) there will definately be dancing on objects that weren't meant to be stood on, and as always there will be copious amounts of grey goose.

also, I'd like to thank Blender for providing me with Monday night's entertainment and a new goal of purchasing red suspenders, Men's Health for providing refreshments after a hot night of listening to clap your hands... and the boys of a certain music magazine that have provided copious amounts of entertainment and gossip for a lifetime...

I'm so obsessed that I'm becoming a bore

alrighty then. its time we had a little talk, just between you and me. as this summer is in its dog days and my evenings have consisted of behaving very very badly there has been this small crush that has grown into a super infatuation. no, its not the double k (or as the once mrs. robinson and current CDD likes to call her, triple A). no, its not the little c, whose occassional snoggings at stolen transmission have been quite fun. no, its not Mr. A the second (although i do sweat his new haircut). No, its not even Deceptacon (although i really plan on figuring out by the end of the summer who took the ram from the ramalamadingdong). And its certainly not Queen Misshape herself, who with one comment completely chopped me off at the knees on saturday night. Alas, its the ultraSocialite herself. I can't help it, i know she's kind of a twit. I also know that i'm permanently being cock-blocked by her sidekick the Beast. but it stands that there's no reasoning with me on this one. what's a girl to do?

laughing out loud at the thought of being alive.

yes, yes, yes i return with another update from the files of clearly we have no problems getting into trouble whether or not CDD is around, but if we're together and there's a wedding dress involved we now MUST have chaperones.

after an incident with double K before at orchard bar, a rule was instated- straight impressionable females had to become off limits for a number of very valid reasons. thursday night, said rule was broken. broken with double k. whoops. i blame it entirely on the copious amounts of grey goose, running into some VERY old friends at dark room and running into my new gay boyfriend Mr. A the 2nd, all of whom are bad influences. so the rule was broken. on essex street no less. where i was spotted by none other than the little C from orchard the week before who totally felt the need to call me out.

ANYWAY, double k and i swore this would be the last time. mainly because, well, she has a boyfriend (did i forget to mention that?). whoops. last time. i promised.

thursday turned quickly into friday, which many of you know are always rock and roll and generally involve a trip to STrans. where we swore off alcohol, and promptly ran into a friend who shall remain nameless, but provided exactly what CDD and I needed to get married and also helped us well on in our drinking cause. CDD disappeared and i wind up talking to a cutie who turns out to be little C's best friend. do i get called out for my behavior on essex street the night before? absolutely. was i called a player and trouble? absolutely. did it ruin my chances? not so much. oh there was also an embarrasing incident involving the crush (the steady one) and brand new, but its not really worth getting into. (oooof!)

ANYWAY, misshapes and movida were out of the question for saturday as totally usesless saturday bled into totally useless saturday night. and i managed to stay mostly sober until Sunday night when I met up with double k. and yes, i broke the rule. again. it was only half my fault. i promise it won't happen again. don't judge.

yes, i'm aware that my postings are choppy at best. yes, i'm a aware that for a school teacher should be more cohesive. frankly though, my life isn't cohesive right now so why the hell should my writing be?

one last thing. i'm having the time of my life
